Supporting someone experiencing suicidal thoughts can feel intimidating. Often individuals will avoid offering support in fear of saying or doing the wrong thing. At NEED2 we want to create suicide safer communities by providing folks from all backgrounds the skills, knowledge and confidence to support someone who is experiencing thoughts of suicide.

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

ASIST is a two day certification that teaches the skills needed to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, providing a skilled intervention, and developing a safety plan to keep someone alive.

NEED2 offers ASIST workshops open to community members on a regular basis at our office in Saanich.

Registration is $325 per person or $275 for students with Valid Student ID.

NEED2 offers ASIST Private workshops across British Columbia.‍ ‍

Private workshops start at $3500.00 + materials

Up to 25 participants.

**Additional fees may be applicable depending on specific booking details.

Cancellation Policy

Participants who cancel their registration at least 10 business days prior to the workshop start date are eligible for a full refund, minus a $50 administrative fee.

Unfortunately, no refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 10 business days of the workshop start date. However registration can be transferred to a future workshop within the fiscal year.

Transfer of registration does not apply to private bookings. All Private bookings require a non-refundable deposit to holding the workshop date. Workshop and material fees must be paid in full no later than 10 business days prior to the schedule workshop.

SafeTALK

~3.5 hour workshop that helps you to recognize a person with thoughts of suicide and connect them with a resource, such as an ASIST trained person, to keep them safe.

Private workshops $500.00

Suicide Education and Awareness for anyone.

SEA: For Adults

SEA: For Adults is a 90-minute suicide prevention workshop which provides foundational information about suicide that is accessible and relevant to adults; no matter their role in the community.

Available in person or online.

Individual registration in a Community Workshop: $25.00

Private workshop $250.00

A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to hold the workshop date.

Workshop fees must be paid in full no later than 10 business days prior to the schedule workshop.
